Think about ODR before pursuing litigation

Whenever we do things with a good heart for a good relation to be maintained, results are always fantastic; actually, this brings you to the path of settlement. Try mediation first for a quicker, more cost effective and more satisfactory outcome than litigation as, in litigation, it takes months and sometimes years before court and it gives you the chance to solve the problem more creatively and with a win win situations. Litigation is time consuming and expensive exercise and justice usually eludes both parties to an action. The injustice is particularly egregious in consumer and matrimonial disputes, where, if the cases remain pending for months and years.

Matrimonial disputes litigation’s leaves very deep impact on parties and their families mainly on their children as it is most painful event on one’s life. There are number of causes of matrimonial disputes, out of them, some causes of divorce are habits of liquor, money matters, in-laws interference, lack of distribution responsibility, lack of communication, unwelcoming habits, expectations. The longer the court cases, more painful for both the parties and both the parties are losers in terms of losing their prime years of life, emotional pain to themselves and to their families, financial losses, pain to children etc. Most of these cases ultimately after several years of litigation’s chooses to find the solution comes through compromise or settlements. A mutual settlement is the best way to shorten the period of end of cases and reduce their emotional and financial pains.

It is the need of the hour that Online Dispute resolution (ODR) method should be made mandatory for the parties before taking the conflicts in courts. So, the Mediation is a form of ODR, aims to assist the disputing parties in reaching an agreement.
